I have read about the spirits of this world, and there are spirits of a different sort in my own. I would like to hear about the spirits from other worlds, if anyone is willing to share. What are they like? Are there really worlds without them?

[anyone who sees Mia out and about today - only in the morning - will notice a distinct tiredness and heaviness to her step and movements. She's not feeling entirely up to par, which accounts for her going 'home' to rest after a quick few errands in the morning. The written entry comes later, sometime in the early afternoon.]

Well, on my world, 'spirits' are a special phenomena that's only started happening recently.

Recently? What did you do before that?

Well, there was only aer before. But spirits were created as part of trying to put aer into a more stable form, one that wouldn't hurt the environment.

[He'll come back and see her all asleep. Odd to see her sleeping at this time of day, but not like he's going to wake her if she's tired.

Though it is tempting to at least carry her to her bed. It can't be comfortable to sleep on the couch, that's for sure.]

[it's rare, but she's really been running herself down lately. Her original intention was to sit on the couch and look over the journal...and it devolved into this.

He makes enough noise to wake her from her light sleep. When she sits up a little, she looks pale and her eyes are tired]

Hm... what would you say defines a spirit? I'm not entirely sure if I know anything I could call that.

Something very powerful that doesn't entirely exist in the physical world, perhaps.

Oh, no! I didn't mean 'booze'! I meant Boos. [She tries to speaks slower and clearer, not that it helps much...] They are, hm, kind of like ghosts we have back home.

The spirit is usually synonymous with the soul, which is more a religious term than anything real -- at least in my world. Ghosts are usually considered mere superstition. [Of course, after seeing some other things he's seen, he can't exactly deny the possibility of ghosts.]

Well, there are many types of spirits in my world, though most people cannot see or hear them. But I personally deal with them on a daily basis back home.
