[It’s been a long few days since the Kin’corrans went “home”; Mia doesn’t remember most of them. Since the 31st she’s been, for the most part, sound asleep in the battledome clinic, trying to recover from…well, everything. Dealing with the fire didn’t help, leaving her spent and dehydrated and coughing. The time she’s spent awake, though, convinced her that things in the village were getting back to normal.

So her first mission of the day, after waking and sorting herself out, is to find something to do that will alleviate this boredom and, just perhaps, help make her case for just going home to lie about there instead.]

I know it has been very difficult and busy in the village just recently. Given the date, it will only stay busy. If it is at all possible, though, I would ask a small favor: would anyone be willing to bring a few books from the library to the battle dome clinic? I promise to return them at the first opportunity. …Once I’m done with them, that is.

While I am thinking about it…well, I would not mind a little company either. I want to hear that everyone is all right.

Not exactly. [Not in a dangerous way, if there is such a thing as a safe way to pass out. In her memory she made it to the clinic on her own, in some capacity.] But close enough. It has a lot to do with the fire.

[Passing out sucks, in any case. That's why he's so quick to offer something to cheer her up with. His shoulders tense at the mention of the fire, but that's something they can talk about once he's gotten the treats.]

I hope it is not much longer than this. Though when I think about it I seem to be doing a terrible job of convincing anyone not to worry too much.

[Despite her experience as a healer and her general willingness to actually rest when she feels like not doing so would only cause her more trouble. Apparently there aren't too many people who do this sort of thing! And she knows it. All of her friends are incessantly stubborn and reckless with their health.]

[He's usually the one that worries too much, so it's amusing to see it from her side for a little while. And incidentally, he's finally made it to the clinic.]

[He feels silly for managing to get confused over something like this. So at least she's not alone in feeling a little embarrassed. Tsuzuki battles this by finding the right door. He knocks, gently.]

I guess healers can get sick and hurt, too.

Of course we can. We're hardly invulnerable. Though sometimes I think we all wish we were.
