[It’s been a long few days since the Kin’corrans went “home”; Mia doesn’t remember most of them. Since the 31st she’s been, for the most part, sound asleep in the battledome clinic, trying to recover from…well, everything. Dealing with the fire didn’t help, leaving her spent and dehydrated and coughing. The time she’s spent awake, though, convinced her that things in the village were getting back to normal.

So her first mission of the day, after waking and sorting herself out, is to find something to do that will alleviate this boredom and, just perhaps, help make her case for just going home to lie about there instead.]

I know it has been very difficult and busy in the village just recently. Given the date, it will only stay busy. If it is at all possible, though, I would ask a small favor: would anyone be willing to bring a few books from the library to the battle dome clinic? I promise to return them at the first opportunity. …Once I’m done with them, that is.

While I am thinking about it…well, I would not mind a little company either. I want to hear that everyone is all right.

I thought you might like them.!They're all from G-Girl's garden. [Which Norma assumes Grune won't mind that she kind of looted without telling her or asking. Though she's pretty sure Grune wouldn't mind if they were meant to cheer up a friend.]

Sorry I couldn't really make them look nice... Oh! These are also my three favorite books I have. I tried getting some differing genres. [Included is a fantasy novel, Treasure Island, and one of the Indiana Jones novels.]

What do you mean? They look great. I love flowers. [All sincere, all the time. It's so thoughtful of Norma. Given half a chance, Mia will sniff them.] I hope someone can find a vase to keep them in while they are here.

Will it be an imposition to not have your favorite books with you?

[Mia tries to keep her sigh to herself. No matter what she says, she can't seem to stop Caius from being upset and vocal about his disagreements. So she will try the next best thing she can think of.]

Is there something else you would like to talk about?

It takes a long time. Sometimes you don't catch anything at all.

...So you...attacked them? [She's trying to be careful about what her tone sounds like.]

How did you escape your brother's unfortunate fate?

I hope it is not much longer than this. Though when I think about it I seem to be doing a terrible job of convincing anyone not to worry too much.

[Despite her experience as a healer and her general willingness to actually rest when she feels like not doing so would only cause her more trouble. Apparently there aren't too many people who do this sort of thing! And she knows it. All of her friends are incessantly stubborn and reckless with their health.]

We do all right when it is just us. There is nothing we can do and no person on whom we can take out our frustrations, most of the time, so we do what we can instead.

[Will she not be tempted by the slice or two of apple pie left on a table in the room? There's even a little note that says "for visitors"!]

[There's a sharp inhale at the sound. Mia looks quickly at Estelle, then lets out her breath with a smile and an embarrassed laugh.]

It is a play, from another world. Leonhardt loaned it to me.

So have I. If nothing else, it is good to have people around who worry about you and might go looking if you get lost.

The Royal Academy made a request of the Bracer Guild which he is a part of and I am not. The Bracers are much like Brave Vesperia here, and the Royal Army which I'm a part of is like the Blue Rogues.

No one does. But for those of us who are here, we should try to make the best of it.

[Hehe, that praise definitely shoots Norma's ego up a few pegs, and it puts a wide grin on her face. Though she can't take all the credit for them, Grune was the one who actually grew them, after all. If anything, most of the praise should go to her, but Norma's going to just soak that up for herself - she's greedy and not thinking much of her friend right now.]

I'm sure someone will be able to, and don't sweat the book. I've already read them a bunch of times, especially this one. [She points to the Indiana Jones one.] This one's really good, if you like adventure stories and old ruins and booby traps and hunting for treasure and stuff!

[A few things come to mind, but nothing that he thinks Mia would enjoy talking about too. His mind is still on this fire business.]

It's starting to get colder. [Oh gosh, small talk.] Maybe it'll snow again, when it gets cold enough.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you.

[She steps closer, peering curiously.]

Oh, how nice! How is it?

[ ... so she did guess right. Mia worked herself to the bone, and this happened. Xion lets out a slow sigh, her worry turning into a concerned yet understanding smile s she approaches Mia's bedside. ]

You shouldn't work so hard, Mia... then again, you've always been like this. [ She takes a seat, pulling a chair over. ]

I have heard people talking about performing plays here more regularly. Actually...I have never seen one before. Would this one be possible?

[Could you convince Joshua to dress like a girl again? Even the idea of a reverse-roles play could be interesting.]

I hope so. I miss the snow, especially when it gets very warm.

It is interesting so far! I have never seen a play performed, but imagining it all myself is like any other book. Please, don't feel you need to stand, there is a chair here.
